Kiwi Banana Smoothie


  • 2 ripe frozen bananas
  • 2 peeled kiwi
  • 1 cup of filtered water

Add 1/2 cup of water to your blender along with bananas and kiwi.  Blend on high. Add more water or less depending on how thick you like your smoothies.

Kiwi is a excellent source of vitamin C and eating foods high in vitamin C can improve respiratory issues.

A study published in Thorax that followed over 18,000 children between the ages of 6-7 living in Northern and Central Italy, discovered that the children who were eating  5-7 servings of kiwi fruit and citrus had 44% less wheezing compared to the children who were eating less than one a week. Other respiratory issues such as shortness of breath, severe wheezing, night time cough were also reduced.

Kiwi can also help to lower risk of blood clots and reduce triglycerides (fat) in your blood.
