Red Cabbage Juice

Recent research has shown that consuming red cabbage juice  is an effective way to prevent deterioration of short and long term memory. Red cabbage juice contains the antioxidants called anthocyanins, also found in berries and grapes. It reduces plaque on the brain which is the main cause of Alzheimer’s disease.

Like other cruciferous vegetables red cabbage juice is high in glucosinolates. Glucosinolates are compounds that help to form effective cancer fighting chemicals called isothiocyanates. These activate the enzymes in the liver that break down carcinogens and which allows them to be safely removed from the body. These benefits will linger for days. People who include large amounts of red cabbage juice and other cruciferous vegetables in their diet have shown to have lower risks of specific types of cancer.

Red cabbage juice contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin B which is good for eyes, skin and hair. Red cabbage juice is also good for helping to boost the immune system and treating ulcers. Red cabbage juice also supplies high levels of iron and sulphur, minerals that are efficient cleansing agents for the digestive system. Red cabbage juice also contains compounds that support breast wellness by altering estrogen metabolism.

Red cabbage can be juiced with every vegetable and fruit.
