This post really should be titled 13 reasons you should eat more fruit and vegetables because you can go vegan but if you’re eating pasta, sandwiches, and other junk you won’t get the same benefits as you would from eating mostly fruits and vegetables.
#1. You’ll have better skin, hair and nails if you cut out the acidic animal products. Your kidneys will function better and it will show in your skin. You’ll get more nutrition from fruits and vegetables which will benefit every cell in your body.
#2. You’ll feel lighter. Your clothes will fit better. You may even lose or gain weight, whichever is needed.
#3. Animals won’t have to die to be your food.
#4. You’ll experience a compassion for animals like never before. You will feel a connection to every living thing. This is one of the best reasons.
#5. Your body will perform in ways you never expected. You’ll think more clearly. You’ll have more energy and you will feel better than ever before.
#6. You won’t live to eat. You will eat to live. You will care more about the energy and nutrients you get from food rather than just the taste.
#7. You will set a great example to others. People you love may be suffering from health issues and most don’t even realize it’s because of their food choices.
#8. There’s never been a better time to give up meat.There are many alternatives on the market, though some are not very healthy but at least it’s a step in the right direction. Be sure to read your food labels.
#9. You’ll feel cleaner. Your body odor won’t smell as bad because you won’t have putrefying animal tissue in your body. Putrefaction is one of seven stages in the decomposition of the body of a dead animal. Your underarms, breath and elimination won’t smell nearly as bad as it did when you ate animal products.

#11. People who don’t consume animal products are less likely to have allergies, or develop heart disease, cancer, diabetes or high blood pressure according to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
#12. You won’t have contaminated animal carcasses in your refrigerator. Your fridge won’t be a morgue. It will be filled with fruits and vegetables. Scientists at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health tested supermarket chicken flesh and found that 96 percent of chicken was contaminated with campylobacter, a dangerous bacterium that causes 2.4 million cases of food poisoning each year, resulting in diarrhea, cramping, abdominal pain, and fever.
